【超重要！哈利法克斯國際安全論壇即將來台舉辦】
外交部誠摯歡迎 #哈利法克斯國際安全論壇（Halifax Security Forum, HFX）宣布明年1/21 - 1/23與 財團法人國防安全研究院合作舉辦 「哈利法克斯：台北論壇」(HFX TAIPEI)！！！
大約在兩個月前，HFX 也宣布 #蔡英文總統 為年度 #馬侃公共事務領袖獎章（John McCain Prize for Leadership in Public Service）得主，蔡總統也表示這份榮耀並非專屬她個人，而是「屬於全體台灣人民的榮耀」。
HFX是匯集全球民主國家討論安全議題及強化戰略合作的重要國際盛會，在國際安全領域，HFX就像是奧林匹克般的存在，每年的11月舉辦年會，邀請各國政府及軍事官員、學者，匯集世界多國的代表。而這次將在台灣舉辦冬季論壇(小編覺得就好像國際安全領域的冬季奧運)，是HFX主辦單位首度移師亞洲舉辦的大型研討會。
HFX主席普拉格（Peter Van Praagh）表示：「HFX將在台北舉辦具有里程碑意義的國際安全論壇，慶祝亞洲最具活力的民主國家之一的勇氣和成就。」
他還說：「所有重視民主的人都會立刻認識到此時聲援台灣人民的重要性。」

外交部會跟HFX及國防安全研究院等單位密切合作，促使活動順利成功舉辦，以利與理念相近夥伴與國際友人共同捍衛自由民主價值。

The organization previously awarded President Tsai Ing-wen the John McCain Prize for Leadership in Public Service in May, recognizing Taiwan's achievements in containing the COVID-19 pandemic and safeguarding democracy.
